The camera was just having some light come, now its not there. I think the snow probably snowed up the camera, covering it.
Reply: Snow does get blown into and packed in the front of the camera enclosure. It usually falls off in a few days.

Love the view. Nice to be able to see what is above the fog. The sun is still shining on this great place-- Grants Pass. Cheesy

Great site, What is the street on the Center of the shot?
Reply: If you mean the one going up and down that is Redwood Highway. The diagonal one in the lower center is Interstate 5.

From what I see here (which is nothing)you may be better served by installing an infrared camera Shocked
Reply: The issue is clouds around the mountain top.

Man, This looks like Crazy Weather. GrantsPassWeather Manager, I suggest mounting the cam with cement if possible or bolt them down on a rock (recommended Rock Size "medium to big) so you don't get a shaky camera Shocked
Reply: The camera is mounted about 80 feet up a tower. Even with the guy wires there's quite a bit of sway when the winds really start whipping around.

Fascinating to watch the Skycam always! Love it, and thank you for sharing it with us. I can see the building where I work from here! This afternoon around 5:00 I noticed a jagged white line flashing in front of the camera. It looks a bit like an electrical charge. My son thinks it might be a spider web out of focus or something. It stopped when the angle of the sun changed. Cool

Is the smoke really that bad? I'm flying in on the 27th.
Reply: Today isn't that bad, but it's been changing on an almost daily basis. The rain and wind a few days ago cleaned things out a lot. However, depending on wind patterns, that could change.
